Superintendent's Message: One of Ohio's Highest-Rated School Districts

The following is a message from Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley:

Dublin City Schools students are achieving at the highest academic levels in District history. The State of Ohio often changes the components of their academic rating and accountability system, but regardless of the metrics Dublin students and staff perform well.

On the Ohio Local Report Card, the District’s Performance Index, which measures the achievement of all students, is at an all-time high of 108.3. Our value added, which measures annual student academic growth, is the third highest in the State of Ohio.

Third grade reading guarantee requirements were met by 99.7% of our students last year.

The District’s average composite ACT score of 25.4 is at an all-time high, and what’s just as remarkable is our 88% participation rate. Scores and participation rates simultaneously rising is very difficult to accomplish and the District was recently named to the College Board’s AP Honor Roll for the second straight year for this accomplishment. This commitment to college readiness helps our students gain acceptance into some of the finest colleges and universities in the world. We are proud of our students, staff, and parents for their dedication to academics.

However, grades and test results are only a part of our story. The outcomes of some of the most important work we do as educators and parents are not reflected in a state government issued letter grade. Our impact on students extends far beyond the classroom and we are working on sharing more of our work than standardized test results.

Dublin City Schools works everyday to provide our students with world-class instruction, a well-rounded education, and to continuously improve in everything we do. It is our goal to align our daily work around these concepts in order to create the Dublin Difference. We believe a large part of the difference we make is about educating the heart as well as the mind.

Our dedication to the whole child is truly the Dublin Difference.
