12 Organizations Receive Industry Sector Partnership Awards
Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced that 12 partnerships have been awarded a total of $2.5 million for the Industry Sector Partnership Award Grant Program. The selected partnerships are in various regions across Ohio and focus on multiple in-demand industry sectors, including health care, information technology, manufacturing, construction, and transportation. Governor DeWine Details Plans for Phase 1B of Vaccinations
Governor Mike DeWine announced the vaccine distribution timeline for Phase 1B of Ohio’s vaccination program, which began the week of January 18 for those ages 80 and up. The following schedule was released:
- Week of January 25: Vaccine providers will begin receiving their first allotment of vaccines for those ages 75 and older. Vaccines will be delivered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Each provider will begin administering vaccines the day after they receive their shipment. All vaccines must be distributed within seven days. Vaccinations will also be available to those with severe congenital, developmental, or early-onset medical disorders. Additional information on how these individuals can choose to receive their vaccines is forthcoming.
- Week of February 1: Vaccinations are anticipated to begin for those ages 70 and up following the same process outlined above.
- Week of February 8: Vaccinations are anticipated to begin for those ages 65 and up following the same process outlined above.
Ohioans can find additional information about providers administering vaccines by calling their local health department or visiting their local health department website. Ohio EPA Webinar on Environmental Regulations
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will present a webinar on Dec. 3, 2020 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for businesses needing help with environmental regulations. Small Business Relief Grants Available
The Small Business Relief Grant is designed to assist Ohio businesses that have been harmed by the effects of COVID-19. The $125 million grant fund will provide relief to Ohio businesses that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Funding for the program is from the CARES Act. The business must be a for-profit entity with no more than 25 Ohio employees as of Jan. 1, 2020. The business must also have a physical location in Ohio and earn at least 90% of annual revenue based on activities performed in and taxable to Ohio. For more information, visit BusinessHelp.Ohio.Gov

Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund Application Opens
The Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund is designed to assist Ohio’s on-premise liquor permit holders. This $37.5 million fund will help those licensees significantly impacted by COVID-19 and limited in the full use of their liquor permit. Funding for the program is from the CARES Act. Permit holders may apply for the liquor assistance funding as well as the Small Business Relief Grant through the online application at BusinessHelp.Ohio.Gov.

Library and Foundation Partnered with PCs for People to Provide Computers to Eligible Families and Students
Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) and the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation partnered with PCs for People provided computers and laptops to eligible families and students. These retired items were no longer used in CML locations and would otherwise be recycled. PCs for People represents the first organization to receive support from the CMLF’s Innovation Fund, and $3,000 was used to reduce the typical $80 fee for a computer or laptop down to $20.

Dublin Arts Council Offered Creative Ways to Get Creative

Dublin City Schools Gives Back
The Dublin City Schools district helped to provide much-needed supplies to healthcare professionals and first responders amid the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus. The school district donated 3,360 masks to Dublin Methodist Hospital and also donated gloves and thermometers to Dublin police and fire department personnel. In addition, students and staff made more than 1,200 masks with 3D printers and donated these masks to Delaware EMS and other organizations in need.

Crew and managers at Scott Holowicki's 14 locations allowed guests going through the drive-thru to "Pay With Lovin'." At the pay window, guests were asked to show a peace sign, make a heart with their hands or even show some Buckeye team spirit with a block O, and their meal was free.
