Dublin Businesses Invited to Help Paint the Town Purple on Sept. 25
September 14, 2026Dublin Link to shine purple in support of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Columbus
Bridge Park and Dublin-area businesses are invited to participate in Paint Dublin Purple Night on Friday, Sept. 25, in support of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Columbus.
That evening, the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge will be illuminated in purple to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Local businesses are encouraged to join the effort and help turn Dublin purple through promotions, fundraising activities and visible displays of support.
Businesses can participate in any way that works best for them, including:-
Creating a purple-themed drink, food item, dessert or special
-
Donating a percentage of sales or a set amount from a featured item
-
Allowing customers to round up their purchases or donate at checkout
-
Displaying a QR code through which customers can donate or register for the Walk
-
Starting a Walk team and inviting employees and customers to participate
-
Encouraging employees to wear purple or decorating the business
-
Developing another creative way to show support
There is no expectation for businesses to offer every activity. Participants may select the option that is easiest and most appropriate for their organization.
The Alzheimer’s Association can provide participating businesses with QR codes, promotional materials and social media graphics to support their efforts.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s Columbus will take place Sunday, Oct. 11. Approximately 4,000 participants and nearly 400 teams are expected to come together for the event. Paint Dublin Purple Night offers local businesses an opportunity to raise awareness, connect community members with Alzheimer’s Association resources and encourage greater involvement in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.
