    You're invited to join us for the Sales Connection Breakfast Series, typically held the first Friday of each month from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, 129 S. High St. in historic Dublin.

    At each breakfast, a special guest speaker will join us to discuss a topic of great importance to the professional growth of sales professionals. Topics may include sales training, sales management, and all aspects of the sales pipeline including prospecting, cold calling, relationship building and closing.

    This session features Mike Adkins, vice president of operations at Englefield, who will discuss "The End of Sales as We Know It."

    About the Speaker
    Mike Adkins is the Vice President of Operations – Lubricants Division for Englefield, Inc., a 58-year-old family owned business located in Heath, Ohio. Englefield, Inc. is the parent company to Englefield Oil Company and Duchess convenience stores – greater Ohio’s premier providers of automotive, commercial and industrial fuel and lubricant products.  

    Mike currently oversees the Englefield Oil Lubricant Division serving customers in passenger car, transport and industrial segments. In addition, he is responsible for the development and direction of DriverOne, Englefield Inc.’s consumer-facing brand of oil, antifreeze, window washer fluid and more.

    A 1985 graduate of West Point, Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Mike spent 5 years in the US Army 4Th Infantry Division. He continued his education by receiving his MBA from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and then joined The Timken Company Bearing business. Mike worked in sales and marketing for Timken, most notably for 3.5 years as sales leader in Beijing, China. Mike went on to other progressive sales and operations leadership positions with Alcoa, The Will-Burt Company and Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions before joining the Englefield team.
