Ohio MCO Open Enrollment Opportunity
April 28, 2025From April 28th to May 23rd the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is offering an Open Enrollment opportunity for employers to select your managed care organization, or MCO. We partner with Sedgwick Managed Care Ohio as an essential component of our member benefits for workers’ compensation. We urge you to enroll with Sedgwick MCO and take advantage of this no-cost resource to help you and your employees navigate the workers’ compensation system.
Your MCO plays a major role in your ability to control premium costs and qualify for savings opportunities. Sedgwick MCO touches every claim for their clients to organize treatment, coordinate return-to-work options, and reduce medical costs. Sedgwick MCO’s involvement in your workers’ compensation program enhances our ability to provide outstanding savings to our members.
The Data is Clear- Sedgwick MCO averages 14% fewer lost days per claim than claims managed by other MCOs.1 Fewer lost workdays translates to less costly claims and lower premium rates.
- Sedgwick MCO reduced medical costs for their clients by an additional 19% below BWC fee schedule in 2024.2 All MCOs reduce medical bills to the BWC standard fee schedule, but this additional Sedgwick reduction enhances premium savings and discount options.
Enrollment is simple and there is no cost. Just complete the Sedgwick MCO Selection Form and return it by fax or email to sales@sedgwickmco.com. If you are already enrolled with Sedgwick as your MCO, you do not need to take action to retain this valuable resource. For questions or to discuss your workers’ compensation program in more detail, reach out directly to David Deyo at 614-376-5401, or by email at david.deyo@sedgwick.com.
