Making Sense of Split Dollar Life Insurance Arrangements
Content: We will review Split Dollar Life Insurance arrangements that are designed to provide for a sharing of the costs and benefits of a life insurance policy. You will discuss the tax advantages and disadvantages of these types of plans. Recent changes in the form of detailed IRS Regulations will be covered in detail.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, you will:
• Understand the concept of using split dollar methods
• Have heard discussions of pass through entities and how they impact S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies
• Be able to explain the loan regime and the economic benefit regime
• Discussed the tax regulations under Notice 2002-8

Making Sense of the Tax Rules Affecting Annuity Contracts
Content: Focuses on income and estate tax issues that impact your clients and their beneficiaries. We will discuss taxation planning that should be done in pre and post-death planning.
Learning Objectives: This course reviews the tax rules that affect annuity contracts. Upon completion of this session, you will be able to:
• Define the various types of annuity contracts
• Know the tax issues as they relate to the specific types of annuities
• Share with clients what you have learned

Roth IRA Conversions
Content: This course will examine the factors clients should consider as they decide whether or not to convert traditional IRAs to a Roth IRAs. The presentation will review the rules that apply to Roth IRA contributions and conversions, discuss the advantages and disadvantages to the Roth IRA as a planning tool.
Learning Objectives: You will learn about converting a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. After completing this course, you will be able:
• To discuss the benefits and costs of converting a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA.
• To examine the critical factors to consider in deciding whether or not to convert a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA.
• To develop an analytical framework that will help you assist your clients in making an informed decision

ESOPs and Your Practice
Content: This course is designed to educate participants on the concept of Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and the benefits to their use. We will discuss the entire process of establishing an ESOP, determining its use and the legal rules associated with this type of plan design.
Learning Objectives: At completion of this course, you will be able to:
• Define what an ESOP is
• Explain the use of an ESOP as a business succession planning technique
• Differentiate an ESOP from other qualified plans
• Associate the legal and tax ramifications of ESOPs to your practice

Debrief and Opportunities from The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012
Content: This course provides a selective overview of some important provisions of The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 (ATRA), what it did and what it didn’t do. The law has added a measure of permanency to some rates and exemptions. In addition, the course describes the opportunities created by the new law that will help clients grow and protect their income and wealth, both for themselves and their family.
Learning Objectives: This course is designed to help familiarize you with opportunities that the new tax law created for clients. Upon completion you will:
• Understand the impact of the new law on the federal estate, gift & generation skipping transfer tax systems, income tax & capital gains rates & more
• Be familiar with the types of retirement and legacy planning strategies clients might consider to avoid a "personal fiscal cliff
• Recognize the opportunities for clients that the law created
• Be able to help clients understand why they need to take back control of their estate planning and take the actions necessary NOW in order to benefit themselves and their families in the FUTURE
