Human Resources Continuing Education Program - Job Benchmarking and Matching: Selecting Superior Performers with Bryan Driscoll
Have you ever hired someone whose best day on the job was the day they interviewed? Have you ever wondered why? If you were leaving your current position and interviewing would you "puff" (think about it)? How does your organization get through the "puff" in the selection and hiring process?
Businesses today are challenged to find better ways to secure the right talent for success. But what talent does a job require for superior performance? Only the job has the answer, so let the job talk and listen carefully and discover the key issues that interfere with the hiring of superior performers.
Bryan Driscoll, President and Founder of Driscoll Learning will facilitate this program. We will explore:- BIAS: the biggest barrier in selecting superior performers
- How to improve the selection process and reduce turnover through job benchmarking.
- Why do we tend to hire for skills and fire for attitude?
- Benchmarking the top performers may be a flawed standard approach to identify who to hire.
- Why failure to use assessments as part of our hiring or screening process limits the ability to accurately select superior performers.
Bryan launched Driscoll Learning in Columbus, Ohio, in July of 1998. Initially, he offered team-building solutions and over time client demand sparked Bryan to add a full spectrum of services. Driscoll Learning primarily serves time-starved business owners and companies who are experiencing turnover problems, working through hiring mistakes and noticing gaps in their workforce leadership and sales teams. He is motivated by being the catalyst who brings value to an organization as they ultimately become more effective ... and self-reliant.
