Human Resource Meeting: Panel Discussion on "The Employee Engagement Imperative and Why So Few Culture Transformations Succeed."
The Human Resources Executive Council is comprised of HR executives in our community who come together every other month during lunch to network and discuss the most urgent HR needs and issues in the community. Meetings are held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and lunch is provided to all attendees.
At this session, Michelle Reese, VP & Chief Talent Innovator with the Columbus Collaboratory, will lead a panel of experts on the topic of: "Driving profitable growth through culture change: The new employment engagement imperative and why so few culture transformations succeed." About the Moderator: Michelle Reese
Michelle is an Industrial Engineer turned Human Resources professional throughout a career of technology, process, and human performance improvement.
Michelle's background is largely in management consulting and HR. Among her favorite moments at work is her team's nomination for a Smithsonian Award for a solution that brought the time to approve patient referrals to a specialist from 9 days to 5 minutes. Another is her work leading the employee engagement improvement process for a 30,000-person organization that led to above average growth of 29 percentile points over three years, positioning the organization to win Gallup's Best Workplace award.
As a senior executive in a global Human Performance consulting practice for 10 years, Michelle led teams in organization design, learning and development, culture change, and process improvement, resulting in annual savings ranging from $2-$24 million. Leveraging her deep Program Management expertise, Michelle also established and led three Program Management Offices (PMOs), including a mission-critical Y2K program for a large insurance company and a $250 million HIPAA program.
Prior to joining the Columbus Collaboratory in 2015, Michelle held a variety of senior leadership roles as Asst. Vice President, Communications, Strategy, and Change Management at The Ohio State University, Associate Vice President, Organization Effectiveness at Nationwide, and Associate Partner at Accenture.
Michelle holds a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and the following certifications:- Strengths Performance Coach, Gallup, Inc., Omaha, NE, 2011

- LevelSet, Certified, LeaderOnboarding, Columbus, OH, 2006
Michelle resides in New Albany with her husband Jim, their four children, and their two rescue dogs, Piper and Bentley.
