DESCRIPTION:Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Chamber! Break out your green garb and join your friends and colleagues on March 17 for some Business After Hours shenanigans!\n\n\n\nThe March BAH offers all the fun festivities and networking you've come to know and enjoy at these after-work events   from food and beverages to socializing in a casual setting with members of the Dublin business community\, to door prizes for those with the luck of the Irish.\n\n\n\nYou will also have a chance to meet the 2015 Business Person of the Year Award Recipients\, Al and Anne Gleine\, owners of Ha'penny Bridge Imports of Ireland. The Business Person of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual(s) who has positively contributed to the betterment of Dublin's business community. The recipients demonstrate superior leadership and service to Dublin and help to make this community a better place to live and work.\n\n\n\nAl and Anne were long-time residents of Dublin and all five of their children graduated from Dublin Coffman High School. In 1998\, they acquired Ha'penny Bridge Imports of Ireland\, which is located at 75 S. High St. in Dublin and features a wide selection of Irish and Celtic merchandise. Prior to owning Ha'penny\, they owned and operated another gift shop in Dublin called The Irish Peddler.\n\n\n\nBoth Al and Anne are deeply committed to the Dublin community\, and over the years\, have taken leadership positions in organizations and on committees that promote area businesses\, including the Dublin Chamber of Commerce\, the City of Dublin\, and the Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau\, among others.\n\n\n\nAnne served on the Board of Directors for the Dublin Chamber of Commerce from 2002-2009\, and served as its president from 2007-2008. Because of her volunteer efforts above and beyond the standard duties\, she also received the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year Award. Anne is a board member for the North American Celtic Trade Association\, and was the first president of the Old Dublin Merchants.\n\n\n\nAl and Anne are also the sponsors and driving force behind the annual "Best Legs in a Kilt Contest" and are looking forward to this year's contest on March 13. All proceeds from the contest go to support the Dublin Food Pantry.
