DESCRIPTION:Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village is pleased to host its annual Jazz Under the Stars event in support of the Alzheimer Association's The Longest Day from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday\, June 21 at 6470 Post Road in Dublin. The community is invited to a fundraising evening featuring gourmet hors d'oeuvres\, festive drinks and a display of fabulous silent auction items on the picturesque patio and grounds at Dublin Retirement Village. Entertainment will be provided by one of central Ohio's premier bands\, Dave and Friends\, who will offer up their soulful jazz sounds for those in attendance. The Longest Day\, held annually on the summer solstice\, is a sunrise to sunset relay event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association. The duration of the event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease as well as their caregivers. With 5.4 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer's disease and up to 16 million expected to have the disease by 2050\, The Longest Day draws important awareness for the need of ongoing Alzheimer's funding and research. Cost to attend this event is $5 and will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association. Please RSVP no later than June 16 by calling 614.764.2800.
