The Business Person of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who has positively contributed to the betterment of Dublin's business community.\n\nLisa believes her business has a responsibility to educate parents in the central Ohio community about the importance of water safety to prevent drowning. Goldfish Swim School has conducted more than 1\,200 free water safety presentations\, reaching 25\,000 children throughout central Ohio\, including children at local school systems\, as well as at many private preschool and childcare centers. This community program is designed to educate children about the importance of water safety\, learn safety methods to avoid potential dangers in and around the water and introduce skills to help them handle themselves in a water crisis. \n\n\n\nDuring the past three years\, the Goldfish Swim School team has participated in more than 400 community events including Nationwide Children's Hospital Circle of Friends Run for the Rainbow\, Dublin Arts Council D'Art 5K\, Columbus Zoo Safari 5K\, Lifeline of Ohio Mascot Dash\, The Alpha Group of Delaware Annual Delaware Duck Race\, the World's Largest Swim Lesson with Zoombezi Bay\, and the Dublin Kiwanis Frog Jump. \n\n\n\nLisa opened her first Goldfish Swim School in Dublin in 2014\, and the business continues to grow and thrive with two additional locations in central Ohio.
